The first of three workshops in Celebration of Black History Month. Langston Hughes, 1902 – 1967, was a prolific author who wrote novels, short stories, music lyrics, autobiography, newspaper columns and topical essays. He is best known for his poetry which arises out of his life’s circumstances, those of a black man in Twentieth Century America, yet it touches on universal themes that affect us all. The other two workshops will be February 22 and March 1.
